Client: Geffrye Museum

Quarterly newsletter detailing events for young people at the Geffrye Museum.

Our Role
Copy writing, identity, illustration, design.

The Brief
We were asked by the Geffrye Museum to design their Young People’s Programme, a quarterly newsletter detailing events for young museum goers. They required a striking and versatile publication with its own identity, designed to reach out and entice more young people to become involved with the museum.

The Process
The museum has a panel of 12–24 year olds who are in charge of how they connect with this audience, and we were required to present our ideas to them at various stages during the process. We created a logo for the YPP which functioned as the masthead, a versatile colour palette and a library of icons, all of which allowed for flexibility within a strong overall identity.

The format for this project was crucial, and through experimentation we chose an A5, 4 page booklet which opens into an A3 poster. This poster page functions as a pin board and calendar to showcase images of past projects as well as detailing upcoming events, and extends the lifespan of the publication.
